Ninja Turtles: Legends is a turn-based role-playing game for players who want to collect Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles characters and build a team for tactical battles. It suits TMNT fans who enjoy a story campaign, character upgrades and squad-based combat rather than direct action controls.

How it plays

The main campaign follows Leonardo as he recruits allies and familiar enemies to oppose Kraang Prime. Battles use teams of up to five characters, with each fighter bringing distinct abilities that make team selection and turn order important. The campaign spans seven chapters and more than 70 stages, giving the game a clear progression path beyond individual fights.

The roster includes more than 30 characters from the TMNT universe. Players can develop their collection over time, and the option to use villains as well as heroes adds variety to team building. Daily rewards and card packs provide additional ways to strengthen the roster, although card packs make obtaining a particular character less predictable.

Presentation and progression

Combat and character-management screens are built around familiar mobile RPG conventions, with mission selection, upgrade menus and clearly presented abilities. The game uses 3D environments and character designs based on the television series, including locations such as the New York sewers and Dimension X.

Progress may feel gradual for players who do not spend money, particularly when upgrading a strong roster or seeking specific characters. The random nature of card packs can also frustrate anyone building a team around a favourite fighter.
